Setup Statement Information

Did you ever see the inside of the electrical panel that controls the flow of electrical energy in your house?  It looks complicated but it cannot compare to your energy system. When there is an overload of energy in your house, one of the switches called breakers shuts down to keep the house from catching on fire.

When an breaker shuts down, the circuit really is disconnected and you then have a dark room or an appliance that does not work.

Most often all that has to be done is to  flip the switch and turn it back on. Of course first you have to find the switch that is disrupted and  if there is an overload you have to fix it first or the switch just keeps shutting off.

We have a similar protective system that protects us...thank goodness we don’t catch on fire, but it does keep us from having severe meltdowns. It is a self defense mechanism.

We have all experienced what we might call “popping a circuit.” It leaves you feeling out of balance or in the dark... like something has shut down and  there are dark areas inside of you that need  switched on.

Gary Craig’s  premise is, "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

This is pretty much the equivalent of a popped circuit breaker.!!!

So…What do we do???

We first have to look for the switch that is shut off.  We do this with Setup Statements that are rather general at first so that we can start to “trouble shoot” the area that has been disrupted.  A very broad statement will not usually fix the problem but causes thoughts to be remembered and brought to the surface.

The more specific that you can be with your set up statement the better chance you have of repairing the disruption and turning on the switch. This allows energy to flow in that circuit again and balance can be returned as you tap away the disruption. Each tap is like hitting the delete button on the computer.

If the problem was physical abuse and your setup statement was:

Even though I was abused, I love myself.

You may not get real strong results, but if you said:

Even though I was abused and my father punched me in the mouth when I was 12 years old.

You would most likely get much better results.

Step One:

Check your SUD level on that issue on a scale of 1 to 10.

Click on SUD for info.

Step Two:

Identify very specific setup statements to get the best results.

Step Three:

Tap on the Karate Chop point as you say the setup statement three times.

Step Four:

Tap all the points as you say a reminder statement. For the above setup statement you might say “Dad punched me when I was 12.”

Step Five:

At the end of the round check your SUD level to see if there was a change.

Step Six

If any new thoughts came into your mind while you were tapping, incorporate them into your new setup statement while you repeat Step Three.

Step Seven:

Repeat Step Four with the new reminder statement that is a short cut of the setup statement.

Step Eight:

At the end of the round check your SUD level to see if there was a change.

Step Nine

If any new thoughts came into your mind while you were tapping, incorporate them into your new setup statement while you repeat Step Three.

I am sure that you see the pattern and how you now just keep repeating until the problem has been repaired and the circuit is working again. The nagging emotion is gone and balance has been returned on that issue.
